THE TEAM
Ryan Duffey
Raised in Texas, Ryan was born with a passion to draw and build. He was educated in architecture at the University of Notre Dame before moving to Atlanta to begin his career. After nearly a decade in the custom home world, he opened his practice in 2012 to continue his focus on the art of architecture and the pursuit of dreaming up beautiful places with his clients. Now working all across the United States, his work takes many design shapes. He is focused on conforming to sites, using natural materials and organizing spaces so they feel natural, comfortable and exciting. He is a parishioner at The Cathedral of Christ the King. He lives in Atlanta with his wife and 3 children, enjoying family time in town, as well as on their farm.
Patrick Keough
An Atlanta native, Patrick attended the Lovett School where he cultivated his love of education, athletics, travel, and the arts. Introductory classes in theatrical design, construction, and architecture led him to pursue a degree at the University of Notre Dame School of Architecture where he won awards for projects in sacred architecture and furniture design. Patrick found his way home via an internship with JRDA in the summer of 2018 before starting full time the following year, after graduation. Throughout his tenure with Ryan, Patrick has been involved in a variety of projects and applied first-hand knowledge of structural masonry and traditional construction techniques. As much as he appreciates the "sticks and bricks" of building, Patrick's favorite part of the job is connecting with clients and delivering a beautiful, functional, and timeless design. Patrick is an active member of the community, volunteering and serving on committees at his parish and other organizations. Outside of the office, he enjoys spending his time with his wife and son, while trying to fit in hobbies such as woodworking, cooking and, of course, cheering on the Fighting Irish.
Kwan Yoon
Rounding out the Notre Dame Trio, Kwan started at JRDA in 2020 after graduating (at home on Zoom) from the University of Notre Dame School of Architecture. Kwan has always been fascinated by modern architecture done well. One of his formative events was on a tour of Villa Savoye by Le Corbusier in France. Here, he learned that modern architecture is successful by having strong foundations in classical/traditional architecture. Taking this lesson and many others he learned while studying abroad in Rome, he applies the same principles in the office. His strengths in traditional shapes, proportions, and circulation. while incorporating contemporary gestures, provide a different perspective in designing houses to make them successful in both beauty and functionality. During his free time, Kwan enjoys being out on the golf course while cheering on Notre Dame Football.
